King David : King David was the second king of the united Kingdom of Israel according to the Old Testament. He is remembered as a righteous ruler, courageous warrior, musician, and poet who is traditionally credited with composing many of the Psalms found in the Book of Psalms. After being anointed king over Israel and Judah, David conquered the Jebusite fortress of Jerusalem and established it as his capital.
