The cross
The cross is a symbolic geometric figure formed by two intersecting lines or bars, traditionally positioned vertically and horizontally. It is one of the most ancient and powerful symbols used throughout human history and is most widely recognized as the central symbol of Christianity.
The word “cross” originates from the Latin word *crux*, referring to the Roman instrument used for crucifixion. It later became the term used to describe the instrument of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as recorded in the New Testament, gradually replacing the earlier English word *rood*.
Long before the Christian era, the cross symbol was already present in ancient alphabets such as Paleo-Hebrew, Canaanite, and Phoenician, where it represented the letter “T” and symbolized a mark or sign. Over time, the cross evolved into the most recognizable symbol of Christian faith, prayer, and devotion.
Today, the cross remains the primary symbol of Christianity and a reminder of faith, sacrifice, and salvation.

The olive tree is a “protected” tree in Israel and therefore it is allowed to cut only its branches.
Once the branches are cut – they are left to go under the process of natural drying for a period of 5-7 years.
Only then it is possible to work with so that its natural shades and grains are not damaged, because the olive tree is alive.
